Milner, son of James and Sarah (Stennet) Milner, was born in Seward County, Kansas on August 25th, 1886 and passed away on February 5th, 1969 at the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital, Milan Mo.On March 24th, 1917 he was united in marriage to Leveta Higgins. To this union was born four sons, Glen of Trenton, Mo.; Donald of Fremont, Calif.; Robert of Norwalk, Calif.; and Ralph of Wichita, Kansas; and three daughter, Kathryn, Mrs. EldonPutnam, Harris, Mo. ; Verla, Mrs. Jewel Propps, St. Loluis, Mo.; Gayla, Mrs. Robert Hicks, Kansas City, Mo., all of whom survive. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Susie Jackson, Harris, Mo.; four daughters-in-law, three sons-in-law, 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.His parents, four sisters, three brothers, four grandchildren, and one great granddaughter preceded him in death.Funeral services were at 1:30 Saturday, February 8, 1969 at the Harris Christian Church with Rev. Harvey Richardson officiating.Music was by Robert Wilford, Bill Jackson, Ronald McGowan and Kenneth McGowan with Mrs. Winnie Wilford accompanist. The body was removed to the Judd and Payne Funeral Home in Newtown. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30pm Saturday at the Harris Christian Church.Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery.There is no scheduled family visitation at the funeral home.The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the heart fund and left at the Harris bank.
